The metallic-ceramic coating introduced by Hedman is known as HTC or Hi-Tech Coating and is the very best thermal coating available for your headers. HTC is bonded to headers to resist abrasion and chipping and provides thermal protection up to 1,300 degrees. Unlike chrome plating, HTC will not blue or fade. The finish can be polished with fine steel wool if discolored by any oil or grease. HTC coating is guaranteed to protect your headers from external rust-through for a full five years.
