Vapor canisters should last the life of the Jeep but some conditions may cause them to fail prematurely. If you are having a problem with your emissions system and you have lost fuel economy or have the heavy smell of fuel around your JK, you may need a new Mopar Vapor Canister. If your Wrangler spends a lot of time sitting in the sun without cycling through tanks of fuel, your vapor canister may have been overworked and can no longer handle the task.
