Aluminum is more resistant to pressure and every day damage that may occur. These aluminum radiator cores and headers (end tanks) are brazed as one solid piece allowing for uniform heat transfer. Norther aluminum radiators have wider core tubes for more contact with cooling fins which provide better heat transfer. The aluminum cores are thinner allowing for better air flow over the fins which in turn conducts heat more efficiently from your Wranglers cooling system.
