Heavy Duty Construction: Teraflex uses aircraft grade 6061-T6 aluminum alloy for the 2.125" diameter shock bodies. The inner surface is smooth honed for ultimate performance. The 5/8" induction hardened chrome plated shaft will not buckle, bend, or corrode. Teraflex checks all of their Falcon shock hardware with a 1,000-hour salt spray corrosion resistance test. The internal billet piston is hard anodized for extended wear resistance. To prevent cavitation, Teraflex uses an inline Oil Gas Separator (OGS) and 1-piece Teflon bronze piston wear band with O-ring.
