These faithful reproduction body tubs feature the correct 18 gauge steel at the flooring areas, firewall, brackets, cowl assembly, and wheel housings. Body sides and rear corner panels use slightly thicker 16 gauge steel. The body tubs are assembled with spot welds like the originals and feature a seven-step metal preparation process which includes a cleansing bath to remove rust, dirt and grease; a phosphate and acid rinse to ensure corrosion resistance and promote primer adhesion. Finally, an advanced primer formula is then applied with a smooth and even finish. All tubs have the necessary body mounting channels and are ready for prep and paint.
