ICON 19-Up RAM 2500 4WD 2.5" Suspension System

ICON Vehicle Dynamics is proud to release a lineup of 2.5" Suspension Systems for 2019-UP RAM 2500 4WD trucks. After completing an in-depth analysis of the RAM's radius arm front and coil sprung multi-link rear suspension configuration, ICON engineers set out to design components that not only lift the vehicle, but drastically increase overall ride quality and performance. The result of this engineering process is a selection of several staged systems that provide unique levels of performance suitable for anything from a daily driver to a purpose built off-road chase truck.

Holistic Engineering - the ICON Difference

When developing suspension components for a new vehicle, ICON takes a different approach than many others. Rather than focusing in on one particular part, ICON engineers look at the vehicle as a whole, identify inherent strengths and weaknesses, and set a target for performance. With a focus on maximizing wheel travel and improving ride quality, ICON will develop components that address (and often times replace) OE limiting factors. This "holistic engineering" philosophy often results in the development of several parts designed to work together as a system to provide balanced on and off-road performance. Because ICON is designing and manufacturing all of the components necessary to improve the performance of a vehicle from front to back, end-users can rest easy knowing they are dealing with ONE manufacturer, ONE standard of quality, and ONE awesome warranty to back it all up.

ICON's 2019-UP RAM 2500 2.5" suspension systems are available in stages that include varying combinations of shocks, springs, and additional components. The introductory Stage 1 system includes vehicle-specific ICON 2.0 Aluminum Series shocks and is a great setup for street, towing, and light off-road use. Moving up to a Stage 4 setup includes more robust components such as 2.5 Series remote reservoir shocks, CDC (Compression Damping Control) Valve technology, and adjustable track bars - making for a huge upgrade to the on and off-road handling of the RAM 2500. Each stage provides 2.5" of lift height, which is adequate for the fitment of larger wheel and tire combinations up to 35".

Performance Systems

In addition to the standard systems available for the 2019-UP RAM 2500, ICON engineers have also developed optional "Performance Systems" that include multi-rate rear coil springs for a more compliant ride. The lighter initial rate of these performance rear coil springs helps the truck feel smoother and more controlled over washboard roads, small whoops, or similar terrain. The secondary rate allows the truck to maintain exceptional ride quality over larger obstacles, while at the same time retaining factory payload capacity. These performance systems were developed with the chase truck type of application in mind, and will significantly increase the on and off-road performance of the RAM 2500 when driven aggressively.

Air Ride Systems

Each ICON 2019-UP RAM 2500 4WD 2.5" system is also available in a configuration that has been designed to work specifically for vehicles with a factory air ride setup. After a thorough inspection of the RAM's air ride assembly, ICON developed components that properly locate the airbags and associated parts so they are not over-traveled and damaged. These systems allow for full functionality of factory air ride modes. Using the optional ICON 1" Air Ride Kit (Part #214212) allows end users to adjust the rear ride height from stock up to 1" of lift.
