From the factory the Jeep Wrangler JL comes with decent skid plates for most of the undercarriage components but the most important and expensive components, engine and transmission, are left completely unprotected and therefore vulnerable to trail damage. The EVO MFG JL 3.6L Protek Engine/Trans Skid Plate system protects these vital components with a 3/16 inch Steel Skid, laser cut and CNC Formed to give ideal clearance and strength. On JL's equipped with the 3.6L engine, the driver side exhaust connection is a complex configuration of exhaust tubing that rests below the frame and is extremely vulnerable to trail damage. The EVO MFG JL 3.6L Protek Exhaust Loop Skid is designed specifically to give protection to these expensive exhaust components.
All EVO MFG skits are made from 3/16 inch laser cut and CNC formed steel, powdercoated black for durability and corrosion resistance and include all required hardware. Easy, bolt on installation with normal hand tools, no drilling, cutting or welding required.
